Pedaling for Progress: Empowering Community and Youth through Cycling

Thank you for signing up for the 2024 Blackberry bRamble!

We’re thrilled to invite you to join us on Sunday, August 25th. With an abundance of picturesque back roads throughout Lane County, this event promises to be a highlight of your 2024 cycling calendar.

Your participation matters!

This year, your participation supports a worthy cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit Shift Community Cycles and Free Bikes 4 Kidz. Shift provides a variety of year-round bicycle programming, workshops, and camps aimed toward educating and empowering youth. Through access and education we can offer resources to the next generation of younger commuters and cyclists.

Shift Community Cycles is now the home for Free Bikes For Kidz. In partnership with FB4K, Safe Routes, and other family focused organizations we work together to provide kids with Free Bikes all year round. FB4K funds bikes, helmets, and depending on their age, lights and locks throughout the year. Additionally they host an annual bike drive and giveaway.

Event Check-in

Prepacket pick up party at Claim 52 located at 1203 Willamette St #140, Eugene, OR 97401

You are invited for early packet pick up on Saturday August 24th at Claim 52 from 5:30pm-8:00pm. Pick up your event swag and materials the night before so you are ready to roll out first thing Sunday moring! Better yet, get the party started early at Claim 52 will be offering a complimentary beverage for those that pick up their packets early.

Day of event check in schedule

Registration check-in, merchandise pick-up, and the start of the ride will begin at the Amazon Community Center located at 2700 Hilyard Street, Eugene, OR 97405
Registration check-in begins for 100 mile riders at 6:30am and is open until 8:30am. Riders in this category after 8:30am forfeit guarantee of on course support.
Registration check-in begins for 100 km riders at 7:30am and is open until 9:00am. Riders in this category after 9:00am forfeit guarantee of on course support.
Registration check-in begins for 40 mile riders at 9:00am and is open until 9:30am. Riders in this category after 10:00am forfeit guarantee of on course support.
Registration check-in begins for 20 mile riders at 10:30 am and is open until 11:00am.

On the morning of the event, registration for last-minute participants will begin at 6:30am at Amazon Community Center. Please check in according to your last name. Ensure you’re aware of your route’s start time before setting off.

Community Riders

Butt’s on Bikes x bRamble

We’re excited to partner with Bob Rides to bring you a fun, community-led addition to the bRamble! Make sure you’re ready to roll at 11 AM for the Bob Rides mass start. Ride together along the bRamble Community Route and stop at Klink Cycles for refreshments and snacks!

Peacehealth Rides x bRamble

Need a bike? Peacehealth Rides is offering a free ride share day of the event! Mention you need a peacehealth bike at event registration and we will get you ready to roll!

Parking

For convenient parking on the day of the event, riders are welcome to use the facilities at Amazon Community Center. However, we encourage carpooling whenever possible to minimize congestion. In case parking capacity is reached, ample street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.

***Please refrain from parking in the Amazon Pool area to avoid the risk of towing***

Route Navigation

To assist with navigation, route signage and markings will guide you along your chosen path. Cue sheets will also be provided at check-in, and the routes will be available for download on Ride with GPS for added convenience. Click here to view/download.

Here are quick steps on how to use the Ride with GPS mobile app for events:

Join a tour event: Use your Ride with GPS account to join a tour event.
Download the app: Install the free Ride with GPS app for iPhone or Android.
Log in: Open the app and log in using the same credentials you used for the website.
Access your events: Tap More in the bottom right corner of the screen, then tap My Events. Select your tour event and all the routes.
Navigate a club event: Tap your club on the app homepage, or by tapping More in the bottom right, then tapping Clubs or Organizations. Select EVENTS from your club’s mobile page, then choose the event with the route you want to navigate.

Riders may start their route anytime after 6:30 am however, PLEASE NOTE the rest stop operating hours and prepare accordingly:

Lorane Store (only for the 102 mile)
Opens 7:30 AM – Closes 10:30 AM
Wolf Creek Water (only for the 102 mile)
Opens 8:30 AM – Closes 11:30 AM
Crow Grange (for 102, 62, and 40 mile routes)
Opens 9:00 AM – Closes 3:00 PM
Veneta Water Stop (102, 62 mile)
Opens 9:30 AM — Closes 1:30 PM
Noti Water Stop (102, 62 mile)
Opens 9:30 AM — Closes 1:30 PM
Meadowlark Park Water Stop (102, 62, and 40 mile routes)
Opens 11:00 AM — Closes 4:00 PM
Alton Baker Park (Community Ride)
Opens 11:30 AM – Closes 1:15 PM
Amazon Center Finish Pie & Ice Cream (all routes)
11 AM —5:00 PM

Sag and route support will close at 4 PM.

Celebration

After your ride, join us back at the Amazon Community Center for the bRamble Celebration!

Each participant will receive a complimentary drink ticket to redeem a drink of your choice in the beer garden. At the celebration, we’ll have bike parking, music, and a delicious meal waiting for you.

We’ll be serving homemade chili and cornbread, topped with Hummingbird Wholesale blackberry honey. Enjoy your chili with a side of kale salad, dressed and sprinkled with Hummingbird Wholesale’s Awakened pumpkin, nut, and berry mix, along with fresh apples.

After your meal, treat yourself to a slice of blackberry pie served with Prince Pucklers ice cream!

Don’t miss out on visiting our vendor booths: BEST, Free Bikes for Kidz, Shira Evans Nutrition, McKenzie Surgery Center, Quest by Cycle, and SMJ House.

Bittle Brew Coffee will be serving coffee throughout the event from 6 AM to 3 PM. Enjoy $1 off your drink purchase before or after your ride! (Get your coupon at check-in)

Air Quality

Considering the heightened risk of wildfires during this season, we’ll be closely monitoring air quality leading up to the event. Should air quality exceed 150 AQI, the event will be canceled to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. In the event of a cancellation due to air quality concerns, you’ll have the option to join us on our rescheduled date on September 15th, request a refund, or receive credit toward next year’s event.
