What It Is
The Bramble Community Ride is for everyone who has ever wanted to do a bicycle event and thought, “but I’m not sure I’m ready.” (You’re ready.) This ride is designed for new cyclists, families, and anyone who wants a beautiful day in Eugene on two wheels, and maybe find out that biking is actually pretty great. Come as you are.
Twenty-one miles. Mostly flat. One small hill we included on purpose. (You’ll be fine.)
Ride Start: 11:00 AM
Check-In Opens: 10:00 AM
Start Location: Alton Baker Park Shelters
Distance: 21 miles
Terrain: Mostly flat, with one short climb
Great for: New cyclists, families, anyone who wants a good day without the pressure
No Bike? No Problem.
The Bramble Community Ride is presented by PeaceHealth Rides, our local bike share system, and one of the things that makes this partnership so great is that you don’t need to own a bike to participate! Thanks to PeaceHealth Rides, bike share is free for Community Ride registrants on event day.
And that includes the ride to the start line. PeaceHealth Rides has over 160 hubs throughout Eugene & Springfield, so on event day ride bike share and pedal right to the event.
To ride PeaceHealth Rides for free on event day, you just need to do two things:
- Register for the Bike Share Community Route – Individual $30
- Sign up for a PeaceHealth Rides bike share account (if you don’t have one already) and download the app!
Riders must be 16 or older to use bike share. If you’re under 18, you’ll need parent or guardian permission to ride.
Once you’re registered, we’ll reach out the day before the event by text or email with everything you need to know. Including how to unlock your free bike share trip on event day.
That’s it!
